Cookie Policy
RootRise System — Cookie Policy
Effective date: September 1, 2026 | Last updated: September 1, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how RootRise System uses cookies and similar technologies on rootrisesystem.com, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a site remember things between pages and between visits, such as what is in your shopping cart or whether you are signed in. Similar technologies, including browser local storage, can be used for the same purposes.
2. What RootRise Currently Uses
RootRise currently uses essential cookies only. These are the cookies needed to run the shop, remember your cart, and keep you signed in.
At the date of this policy, RootRise does not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, remarketing tags, or third-party behavioural tracking on this website.
Essential cookies
| Cookie | Purpose | Typical lifespan |
|---|---|---|
woocommerce_cart_hash |
Records that your cart has changed so the page shows the correct contents | Session |
woocommerce_items_in_cart |
Tells the site your cart is not empty | Session |
wp_woocommerce_session_* |
Links your browser to your cart and checkout data on our server | 2 days |
wordpress_logged_in_* |
Keeps you signed in to your customer account | Session, or longer if you choose “remember me” |
wp-settings-* |
Remembers display preferences for signed-in users | Up to 1 year |
Essential cookies cannot be switched off through a consent banner, because the shop and account areas will not function without them. You can still block or delete them in your browser, but parts of the site will stop working.
3. Other Technologies on This Site
Web fonts
Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. This does not set a cookie, but your IP address is visible to Google when the font files are requested.
Embedded content and social links
Some pages link to or embed content from third-party platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Telegram. If a page embeds content from one of these platforms, that platform may set its own cookies once the embedded content loads. Following a link to one of those platforms takes you to a service governed by its own cookie and privacy policies.
The RootRise mobile application
The RootRise app does not use website cookies. It stores a sign-in token and limited settings on your device so you stay signed in and your assessment history is available. See the Privacy Policy for how account and assessment data is handled.
4. Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including deleting existing cookies and blocking new ones. The relevant settings are usually found under Privacy, Security, or Site Settings. Browser help pages explain the exact steps:
- Chrome — Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies
- Safari — Settings, then Safari, then Privacy & Security
- Firefox — Settings, then Privacy & Security
- Edge — Settings, then Cookies and site permissions
Blocking all cookies will prevent you from adding items to your cart, checking out, or staying signed in to your RootRise account.
5. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common industry standard for how sites should respond to it. Because RootRise does not currently run behavioural tracking or advertising cookies, no tracking takes place to disable.
6. Changes to This Policy
If RootRise adds analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies in future, this policy will be updated and, where required, a cookie consent banner will be presented so you can accept or decline those cookies before they are set.
7. Contact
Questions about this Cookie Policy can be sent to support@rootrisesystem.com, or by post to RootRise System, Hammond, IN 46327, United States.
Build note — remove this box before publishing.
This policy was written against the site as currently configured: essential WordPress and WooCommerce cookies only, with no analytics or advertising tags present. The previous cookie consent plugin has been removed.
If Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok, Pinterest tag, Hotjar, or any advertising or remarketing tag is added, this page must be updated and a consent banner reinstated before those tags fire. Cookie lifespans above are the standard WooCommerce and WordPress defaults; confirm them against your final hosting and caching configuration.
